I totally agree with you, this article should at the very least mention this situation.

"Airstrike" is traditionally associated with the use of aircraft (airplanes, helicopters or drones, i.e., aviation assets), while Iskander-M is a ground-based missile system, and therefore the term "missile strike" is more appropriate, or even a "double missile strike" if we take into account the terror strategy used by Russia against Ukraine: when one strike is launched first, and when emergency services arrive at the arrival site, a second strike is launched.
