Rename to 2025 South Korean presidential election

[edit]

Since Yoon is already removed today. Can we change the title to 2025 South Korean presidential election instead? NBS13QRS (talk) 02:32, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

NRP nominee in infobox

[edit]

should Lee Jun-seok be included in the infobox? Wikipedia:5% rule has information that has generally been used as consensus in American politics, not sure how it works outside, but only one poll in the last several months has him at five percent, most do not show him even being close. Candidates with less than 5% are generally not included in other country elections either. Yoblyblob (Talk) :) 13:18, 4 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

According to the polls and surveys attached in the article, Junseok has never acquired a hypothetical 5% record since 2025. Meanwhile, other sections also represent the election as a 2-party race. So yes, I am removing NRP candidate and we can add him if his poll would get better, or he would somehow grab 5% in the upcoming election.  Hwi.padam   20:50, 5 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Hwi.padam: & @Yoblyblob:: It appears that recently polling has shown that Lee is polling above 5%, even 6%. Perhaps it's time to consider adding him to the infobox soon if this trend continues within the coming days. TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 12:12, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I support inclusion now, since it seems the average is consistently above 5 @TDKR Chicago 101 Yoblyblob (Talk) :) 15:35, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
This is a silly rule that would have many candidates who have recently won elections in Peru, Guatemala, and possibly Romania - excluded. 173.75.223.84 (talk) 05:41, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Listing KDLP in important third parties?

[edit]

I understand why parties like the NFDP and PP are placed here, as all of these parties won seats in the 2024 elections. However, what makes the KDLP so important? They have pretty much fallen irrelevant since they split the vote in 2022. Imo, I would say taking them off there and maybe listing them somewhere else would be better, especially since they don't even have a party logo or photo. Han Duck-soo's party registration

[edit]

I do not know Korean but the Korean-language articles (translated into English) suggest that Han's registration as a member of the PPP has been accepted ([1]). Should we label him as the PPP candidate instead of simply in "alliance" with them? Dingers5Days (talk) 00:08, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
