2nd round date
[edit]Even if these elections are to take place and this page will be needed, April 20 will certainly not be the date for round two. It will be Easter Day. CartofulMaro (talk) 19:32, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- The runoff (second round) is always two weeks after the first round. ES Vic (talk) 10:22, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
Unclear job description
[edit]Candidate Silviu Faiăr is described as a "twitcher", which (according to the dictionary) means either someone who twitches (not exactly a job/public function) or a birdwatcher who collects sightings of rare birds. In any case, the description should be clarified, as it is confusing. Rares Kosa (talk) 10:58, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
Parties, Alliances, and Colours
[edit]Please stop using the orange for Crin Antonescu, and the grey for Nicușor Dan! ALso, the structure that supports Antonescu's candidacy is called Alianța Electorală România Înainte (Forward Romania Electoral Alliance), not Coaliția Națională pentru România (National Coalition for Romania). Check the references, and sources. If you do that, you'll note that Crin Antonescu uses the turqoise, not orange, and Dan uses some sort of green, not grey. ES Vic (talk) 13:48, 26 February 2025 (UTC)
- Exactly. And regarding the alliance that supports Antonescu, I have created a draft for it. It should be approved shortly. WikiManUser21 (talk) 05:59, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
REPER endorses Nicusor Dan
[edit]https://www.facebook.com/partidulREPER/posts/679565464782143 Can someone add this in the table, i don't know how. ManiLLa (talk) 20:53, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
The Georgescu photo is not visible
[edit]Georgescu's photo is not visible. I think someone removed it or it's a mistake. 95.18.242.119 (talk) 08:26, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
- It's because of this: "It has been deleted from Commons by because: per c:Commons:Deletion requests/File:Călin Georgescu 2022-02-09 2054.png." Another pic will have to be found for him. Impru20talk 09:31, 9 March 2025 (UTC)
Keeping the rejected candidates table
[edit]Is there a point? Literally anyone can send an email to BEC, wanting to apply as a candidate, and they will be rejected—therefore, they will be on Wikipedia ManiLLa (talk) 18:04, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
- It is a section that keeps in line with the 2024 Romanian presidential election#Withdrawn candidates section. ES Vic (talk) 18:42, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
- Can u collapse them? ManiLLa (talk) 21:38, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
Infobox images
[edit]I changed the images of the infobox to the six candidates first on the ballot, but it was removed by Polish kurd. Polish kurd says it should be based on seat count. However, both Antonescu and Dan run as Independents. I assume it's because of enforcements. Idk, seems a bit arbitrary when the presidential elections doesn't have anything to do with seats in the Senat or Camera Deputaților. Is there any precedence for this? I feel the only objective way until the second round is do the first six candidates on the ballot. I'm not sure!--Deva1995 (talk) 10:56, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
Candidate campaign information
[edit]1. Presidential candidate Lavinia Șandru doesn't have any campaign information on her Facebook page nor does she have an official website. Although her party's official site does have a campaign slogan "România Reală" (Real Romania). The site doesn't clarify what kind of campaign it is, but since the presidential candidate appears in the videos presented together with that slogan I think it's safe to say that it is the presidential campaign slogan for Șandru. https://pusl.ro/ 2. Sebastian Popescu also doesn't have a campaign motto on the wiki page. His official site states that the slogan is "Pentru o Românie Nouă" (For a New Romania) https://sebastianpopescu.ro/. Considering the fact that his party is called the "Partidul Noua Românie" (New Romania Party) its also safe to assume here that it is the slogan for the presidential campaign. 3. Presidential candidate John-Ion Banu isn't an independent; he has appeared publicly multiple times in the hq of the "Partidul Națiunea Română" (Romanian Nation Party) https://www.pnro.ro/. Also his facebook page shows that his motto is "Certitudinea Româniilor" (Romanians' Certainty) https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=960996192861785&set=a.186976333597112 BizzaroSteve (talk) 10:56, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
USR can't support Nicusor
[edit]At AUR's request, the BEC has ruled that no party with an official candidate can support other candidate, invalidating USR's support for Nicusor. Maybe update Nicusor's endorsements?

Reliability of polling organisations
[edit]It would be good to include info on the reliability of the polling organisations, from WP:RS. The only one that appears to be currently en-WP-notable is AtlasIntel, although I didn't check the full list. For comparison, see polls in Venezuela, which has a good summary table, thanks to a good source that analysed several polling organisations' records. Boud (talk) 12:41, 2 May 2025 (UTC)
Massive polling error
[edit]Simion got more than 40 percent of the vote and thereby finished 20 percentage points ahead of his nearest rival. 2003:DA:C74E:2400:A461:4072:4626:9356 (talk) 22:44, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

International reactions sections? (maybe national too)
[edit]This would be either need to be added at the end of both the rounds or divided in 2 sections regarding each round. Let me know if its a good idea! VitoxxMass (talk) 14:44, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
Antonescu and Ponta in Infobox
[edit]Why do we need Antonescu and Ponta in the infobox now that it's confirmed that they won't advance to the second round? Every other Romanian election (besides the annulled one last year) only has 2 candidates. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 15:02, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
