I've created the foundation for this article covering the speaking rights dispute which has been occurring since January, but I'd appreciate people tweaking it where they can to be more accurate. It's complex article to create because of all the twists and turns this story has. Given how long and how much Dáil time this dispute has generated, and the significant coverage that comes with that, I felt there was enough to create an article on it. - @CeltBrowne:, thanks for the ping. Currently reading over it and I've noticed that it lists Danny Healy-Rae twice among the TDs who supported the government, under the "Background" section. The source doesn't indicate whether it should be five members or a separate sixth member, nor can I find any indication online, so I'm dropping a line here to let you know. ser! - Thanks for spotting that; I believe it should be 6 TDs based on Regional Independent Group, who I think all supported the government. RTÉ states:
At the core of that group are TDs who in the last Dáil were in the Regional Independents’ technical group, and the Lowry-led group have kept that name. Ultimately, a deal was struck with them to form a government: Fianna Fail and Fine Gael agreed a new coalition agreement with their support and that of the Healy-Rae brothers.[1]
- Mattie McGrath should have been in there instead of the Danny Healy-Rae duplicate. CeltBrowne (talk) 10:31, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
- Nice work. Thanks for the ping, I've added it to my watchlist. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 11:09, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
