Hello everyone, the competition is not taking place this year. Teams only compete in test matches. Visit the World Rugby website, there's nothing to mention about the competition. Hi @Arn6338:, I have noticed that you picked up the discussion about this topic on @PeeJay:'s talk page, but it's really here that that discussion should take place.
In your post on PeeJay's talk page you correctly refer to this article from World Rugby as proof that the 2023 PNC didn't take place. That article also describes the games played in 2023 as a series of RWC 2023 warm-up matches. In my opinion that means that the best way to approach this is to move all the details about the individual games from this (2023 PNC) article to the 2023 Rugby World Cup warm-up matches article and then to delete this article. You've already made changes to the general article about the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup, mostly in the tables, and probably only a clear sentence about the tournament not taking place in 2023 and instead a Pacific series of RWC warm-up matches having been played, should be added (linking to the 2023 Rugby World Cup warm-up matches article}. Obviously some minor edits to the articles about the 2022 and 2024 World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup should be made, too. Ruggalicious (talk) 12:00, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I'm glad to finally have an answer for this topic, apart from the one from PeeJay whom I thank by the way. I totally agree with you, as far as I'm concerned we should move the information on the 2023 World Cup preparation matches and then delete the page.
However, as I've just explained on PeeJay's discussion page, English isn't my language and I'm based on Wikipedia in French so it would be better if someone who's used to editing on this Wiki could do it please ^^. Arn6338 (talk) 12:15, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I was just about to suggest bringing it up at WT:RU if no discussion was taking place here. I'm happy that something has finally been sparked on this topic, although sometimes it can help to put a discussion notice on a page that will get more attention. I agree with Ruggalicious's suggestion; merge the appropriate content to 2023 Rugby World Cup warm-up matches and then turn this page into a redirect. – PeeJay13:47, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
