Hyphen qualifier

I fail to understand why is there a hyphen qualifier in the title. The RM is TL;DR so I did not look at it. I asked Gemini but it refused, and I doubt that even the search engine and other chatbots would refuse to answer as well. The term "child rape" is indistinguishable from "child-rape", am i wrong about it, or that I misunderstood the MOS:HYPHEN regarding how terms used when we put a hyphen somewhere.
