Candidate colors/gradients

[edit]

Both the 2016 Democratic Party presidential primaries and the 2024 Democratic Party presidential primaries have maps which represent the popular vote winner by county (or other subdivision) using a color gradient to show the margin of victory. I'm proposing below the following color gradients be used for the candidates in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries to establish a uniform way of creating new maps which represent margins and distinguish candidates. I welcome all suggestions.

Footnote for NH results

[edit]

My footnote for the NH results was reverted. I believe it should be included in the infobox because it makes the status of NH clearer. Sanders won the popular vote; Buttigieg and Sanders both won nine delegates. (This is consistent with the 2024 primary page, where a footnote is included with Palmer's win at the time of my writing this). My suggestion: "This includes a tie for New Hampshire, in which Sanders and Buttigieg both won 9 pledged delegates". Michelangelo1992 (talk) 01:47, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delegate count

[edit]

I have two questions about the delegate counts set forth on this page. The cited source for the delegate counts in the "candidates" section is the AP. The cited source for the popular vote counts is The Green Papers. I can't help but notice that the delegate count set forth in The Green Papers does not match up with the AP's count. Which source should be viewed as more trustworthy? Also, if we are not trusting The Green Papers as a source for the delegate count, should we be trusting it for the popular vote? Can anyone shed any light on these questions? Too-Rye-Ay (talk) 06:36, 9 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
