Stephen Stromberg
Stephen Stromberg is deputy opinions editor[1] of The Washington Post.[2] He was part of the Washington Post team that won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in Public Service.[3][2] His work focuses on U.S. politics[4][2] and government,[5][6] healthcare, the environment[7] and energy,[8] but he is also one of the few American journalists to write about professional sumo wrestling.[9] Before joining The Post, he covered American politics and economics for The Economist.[10]
An Eagle Scout,[11] he was raised as a Mormon and has written about Mormonism.[12][13] He grew up in Los Angeles[14] before attending Harvard University[15] where he was editorial chair of the Harvard Crimson.[16] He then attended Oxford University, where he was executive editor of the Oxonian Review.[17]
He is married to Post humor columnist Alexandra Petri and lives in Washington, D.C.[18]
