Satyen Bose Science Club is a renowned science club at one of the top engineering universities of Bangladesh, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET)[2]. It was established in 1994. The main objective of this club is to encourage scientific research and technological innovation among students.
History and Objectives
[edit]In 1994, to honor the legendary physicist Satyendra Nath Bose on his 100th birth anniversary, the Satyen Bose Science Club was founded.[3] The club was created to spark curiosity about science and technology among BUET students and to inspire them in research and innovation.
Activities
[edit]The Satyen Bose Science Club regularly arranges workshops, seminars, webinars, and lectures, where renowned scientists, researchers, and professors are invited. These events help students learn about the latest developments in science and technology while improving their skills.
The club also takes part in and supports national and international events to spread awareness about science and the environment.[4] Over the years, it has organized and co-hosted various festivals, competitions, and carnivals on space science, the environment, and technology.[5] Thousands of students from across the country join these events, helping to build a culture of scientific thinking and research among the youth.
