Sanchari (transl. Traveller) is a 1981 Indian Malayalam-language film produced and directed by Boban Kunchacko and written by P. K. Sarangapani. The film stars Prem Nazir, Jayan, K. P. Ummer, Mohanlal, and Adoor Bhasi in substantial roles. The film features songs composed by K. J. Yesudas and background score by Guna Singh. The film was a hit.[1][2][3]

Synopsis: The film starts with sunderasan nair and soudamini are from high standard living but soudamini is worried of her brother keshavan and vasu who live together with Kotha, Kotha is jealous of soudamini. Soudamini invites her brothers to stay with them , but kothas sons bargavan and sekhar gets teased by soudamini sons for their lack of manners and sense. Kotha gets more jealous and one day soudamini slips on a banana cover that was thrown by Kotha son and so falls down thus becoming mental and not recognising anyone. One day sunderasan gets killed by vasu, finally all the house belongs to keshavan and Kotha. Now sekar grows up as doctor but bargavan and shubha is brought up as servants. Premnazir finally comes to know of the secrets behind his bad childhood finally fights for justice and wins. =Cast=

The film was released on 26 February 1981, after the death of actor Jayan. It had a good run in theatres.
