Salman Shaikh (born June 4, 1993) is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi television and films.[1][2][3] He gained recognition for his roles in television series such as Aarambh, Sasumaa Ne Meri Kadar Na Jaani, Maddam Sir, Jhanak, Pocket Mein Aasmaan, and movie Ramrajya.[4][5][6]

Early life and education

Shaikh was born and raised in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He pursued his education in his hometown before starting his career in the entertainment industry.[1][7][8]

Career

Shaikh began his career as a model, reportedly participating in various campaigns and commercials. As an anchor, he has hosted shows, including reality show “Sur Sagar” for DD National, stage performances, and award ceremonies. Additionally, he has worked as a choreographer as well.[1][9][10]

His acting debut was in the Bollywood film Chalk n Duster (2016), He then shifted to television, appearing in series Aarambh as Sivaan and Sunny in Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka? His subsequent roles included Chirag Bhandari in Aghori (2019).[11]

In 2021, Salman played Rajvir Tomar in Maddam Sir. He gained further popularity for his role as Devesh Agarwal in Sasural Simar Ka 2, a role he played in 2021 and reprised in 2022.[12] He played the role Abrar in film Ramrajya. In 2023, he played Shiva in television series Sasumaa Ne Meri Kadar Na Jaani. In 2024, he joined the cast of Jhanak as Aditya Kapoor, a film star character.[13][14] In 2025, he joined the cast of Star Plus’s show Pocket Mein Aasmaan as Dr. Soham.[15][16]

Shaikh’s filmography also includes roles in 377 AbNormal, Nirdosh, and upcoming films including Battle of Bheema Koregaon and Fiza Mein Tapish.[7]
