Romuald Tadeusz Starosielec is a Polish journalist, entrepreneur,[1] politician, leader of the Repair Poland Movement and formerly of the Unity of the Nation political parties.
Biography
[edit]Starosielec was born on 21 September 1959 in Biała Podlaska to Feliksa (born 1922) and Edward Starosielec (born 1917).[2][3] In 1981, he permanently moved to Warsaw. He studied history at the University of Warsaw, graduating in 1986.[4]
Starosielec is involved in politics, co-founding the Unity of the Nation party in 2015, and later the Repair Poland Movement in 2023.[5] He ran for several elected offices: in 1989 and 1991 he contested a seat for the Senate in Siedlce Voivodeship, in 1989 losing with 14,830 votes (6.47%)[6] and in 1991 for the Catholic Electoral Action, losing with 24,620 votes (14.90%).[7] Almost 30 years later, in 2018, he ran in the 2018 local elections and in 2024 he ran in the local and European parliament elections. He also ran twice for President of Poland, in the 2020 presidential election, where he did not get enough signatures to register, and the 2025 presidential election.[8]
Since May 2015, he is the cofounder and lead editor of Polityka Polska.[9][2]
Views
[edit]Starosielec supports reinforcing Poland's healthcare, shortening waiting times.[10] He also supports expanding citizens' rights[2] and opposes the European Green Deal and GMO farming.[10]

Matka Feliksa (ur. 1922 r.), wychowywała się w Brześciu Litewskim, harcerka, po wojnie nauczycielka z 50-cio letnim stażem. Ojciec Edward (ur. 1917 r.), we wrześniu 1939 roku dowódca radiostacji w Pomorskiej Brygadzie Kawalerii, ranny w bitwie pod Bzurą. Członek konspiracji. Więzień polityczny do 1956 roku. W 1978 roku ukończył Liceum Lotnicze w Dęblinie, a następnie w latach 1978 1981 kształcił się w Wyższej Oficerskiej Szkole Lotniczej. W 1986 roku ukończył studia na Wydziale Historycznym Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego. Przez rok pracował w Liceum Ogólnokształcącym Marii Curie Skłodowskiej w Warszawie. Od 1989 roku przedsiębiorca. W 2015 roku został współzałożycielem i redaktorem naczelnym miesięcznika „Polityka Polska". Był współzałożycielem i jednym z liderów ruchu „Jedność Narodu", który w maju 2023 wszedł w szersze porozumienie organizacji społecznych i politycznych pod nazwą „Ruch Naprawy Polski", którego obecnie jest liderem.
