Ravi Philemon (born 15 May 1968) is a Singaporean politician and the secretary-general of Red Dot United since its formation. Previously, Philemon was also a member of the NSP, PSP and SPP.[1]

Political career

[edit]

In the 2015 general election, Philemon contested Hong Kah North SMC as the SPP candidate against incumbent PAP Member of Parliament Amy Khor.[2] Philemon received 25.24% of the vote against Amy Khor's 74.76%.[3]

In the lead-up to the 2020 general election, Philemon joined the newly formed PSP led by Tan Cheng Bock. However, in May 2020, Philemon left the party, joining Michelle Lee to form Red Dot United.[4][5] Philemon led a team to contest Jurong GRC, however the Red Dot United team received 25.38% of the vote against the PAP's 74.62% of the vote.[6]

Under Philemon's leadership, RDU expanded significantly across Singapore, announcing its intention to contest 18 seats in the 2025 general election.[7]
