Ptenothrix species 4 is a species of springtail in the genus Ptenothrix found in the western US given a number instead of a scientific name discovered by Janssens F & Moorehead C, 2008.[1][2]
Appearance
[edit]This species a springtail appears as a classic Ptenothrix with an overall yellow coloration. it has a dark middorsal anterior stripe and dark middorsal posterior patch. This species's middorsal stripe pattern which distinguishes this species is best described in shape as an "Eiffel tower" pattern.[3][1][4]
