Play is the upcoming eighth studio album by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.[1] It is expected to be released in 2025,[2] through his record label, Gingerbread Man Records and distributed by Warner. A lead single, "Azizam", was released on 4 April 2025.[3] After releasing two acoustic albums in 2023, and Autumn Variations, Sheeran announced that with Play, he is getting back into pop music.[4][5] He also confirmed the titles of two other songs from Play: "Sapphire" and "Old Phone".[1]
