Villages

Ntezi has five Oring speaking villages named Agaga, Ulepa, Iyokpa, Amata and Biledeba. These villages are divided into various hamlets, with two villages (Umuezeka and Umuezekoha) near the southern outskirts of Ntezi.[3]

Prior to colonialism, the settlements in Ebonyi state identified themselves as Igbo, using their historic names and terms, cultural values, linguistic connectivity and other identity factors.[2]

Language

[edit]

Korring is the most common language spoken among Ntezi's inhabitants.[4] There are multiple families that speak different Korring dialects, with the Ukele speaking a dialect called Kukele, and Ufia of Benue speaking Kufia.
