Nankai University Affiliated Hospital
Nankai University Affiliated Hospital, located at 4 Weishan Road, Xiahaidong, Hexi District, Tianjin, was formerly known as Tianjin Fourth Hospital, also referred to as Tianjin Burn Special Hospital.
History
[edit]Established in 1988, it is a tertiary grade B hospital with a specialization in burn and plastic surgery, and its burn and plastic surgery department is a key discipline in Tianjin. The Tianjin Burn Research Institute and the Tianjin Burn Emergency Center are both located at this hospital.[1] In October 2015, Nankai University took over Tianjin Fourth Hospital as its affiliated hospital.[2] On August 3, 2016, following approval from the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau and the Ministry of Education, and discussion by the Tianjin City Mayor's Office, Tianjin Fourth Hospital was officially renamed Nankai University Affiliated Hospital and the new name was unveiled.[citation needed]
