Michałowice ([mixawɔˈvit͡sɛ]) is a neighbourhood of Piechowice, Poland,[2] located in the south-central part of the town.

History

[edit]

The area became part of the emerging Polish state in the 10th century. Initially it was administratively part of the Wleń castellany.[3] The settlement was founded by Czech Protestant refugees during the Thirty Years' War.[4]

In 1961, Michałowice was included within the town limits of Piechowice as its new neighbourhood.[1]
