Markus Marterbauer (born 26 February 1965) is an Austrian economist and minister for finance in the government of Christian Stocker.[1] He was vice president of the Austrian Fiscal Advisory Council and served as head of the economics and statistics department in the Viennese Chamber of Labour from 2011.[2] He worked as an economics consultant at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research from 1994 to 2011, and previously worked as an assistant at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.[3]
