Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Aurangabad is an Indian educational institute located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) in the Indian state of Maharashtra, established in 1982. It is run by Gramaudyogik Shikshan Mandal (GSM) trust, formed in 1975. The institute offers a wide range of undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (PhD) programs across disciplines such as engineering, architecture, computer applications, vocational education, and management.

Accreditation

The institute is permanently affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Aurangabad, and is approved by AICTE, Delhi, and DTE Maharashtra. NAAC has accredited the institute with Grade ‘A’.[1]

Ranking

Maharashtra Institute of Technology was ranked 131 in Outlook India's "Top 160 Engineering Colleges in 2024".[2]
