Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBUST) (Nepali: मदन भण्डारी विज्ञान तथा प्रविधि विश्वविद्यालय) is a public research-oriented university located in Chitlang, Thaha Municipality, in the Makwanpur District of Bagmati Province, Nepal.[1] It was established on 3 August 2022 under the Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology Act, 2079. MBUST is the first research oriented university of Nepal. It is also the first university of Nepal where the head of university is a university president appointed via board of Trustees, with no influence from partisan politics, or government.
