Loond or Loondh (Balochi: لُنڈ ) is a Baloch tribe of Pakistan, with their name deriving from the Balochi word meaning "warrior”. Sardars of the Loond tribe were among the very few Sardars who directly opposed the execution of Sibghatullah Shah Al-Rashidi, the sixth Pir of Pagaro, by the colonial British government. The Loond tribe, originally hailing from Balochistan, can now be found in Sindh, around Hyderabad, Dadu, Ghotki, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Badin, and Tando Allahyar, as well as Punjab, around Dera Ghazi Khan. Most of tribe is settled in Ghotki under the chieftaincy of Sardar Fayaz Ali Khan Loond, who succeeded his father Sardar Dadan Khan Loond in 2001 after his death. The family is active in politics under the PPP political party and hold decisive power in the Ghotki District.House Of Sardars Family Are Also Referred As “Mirs Of Ghotki”.
Sardar Mir Ahmed Khan Was Given The Title Of “Mir” Which Means “Leader” By People Of Ghokti. Before Him Loond Sardars Were Not Recalled By this Title,This Title Implements Only To His Descendants As No Other Loond Family Member was entitled By this Noble Title Of “Mir” Currently The 3rd Mir Of Loond Tribe Is Sardar Mir Fayaz Ali Khan Loond.
