The severity of mass shootings in the United States has increased.
Deadliest mass shootings in the United States
[edit]LVAn assessment by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department determined that 413 people were injured by gunfire of the approximately 869 injured.[11] In November 2019, a woman who was paralyzed during the shooting was pronounced dead.[12] A second woman was pronounced dead in May 2020.
PAccording to the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, 53 of the 58 people injured were hit by gunfire.[13]
VTThe Massengill Report states that, of the 23 injuries, 17 were caused by gunfire and six were caused by attempts to escape through windows.[14]

[edit]This list excludes the 2014 Isla Vista killings, in which perpetrator Elliot Rodger fatally stabbed three people and shot four others, including himself.[15]
