List of United States Air Force field investigative squadrons

The List of United States Air Force field investigative squadrons is a compilation of field‑level units under the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), the Department of the Air Force’s primary investigative agency. Established on August 1, 1948, AFOSI operates independently of major commands and organizes its global mission through numbered regions and subordinate squadrons, detachments, and operating locations. Field investigative squadrons conduct criminal, counterintelligence, espionage, fraud, and counter‑terrorism investigations in support of Air Force and Department of Defense personnel and assets worldwide. Current units include the 24th Expeditionary Field Investigative Squadron at Al Udeid, the 51st through 63rd FIS across various international bases.
