Korinna Schumann is a politician from Austria who served as President of the Federal Council of Austria from 1 July to 31 December 2022.[1]

On 3 March 2025 Schumann became Minister for Social Affairs, Health, Care, and Consumer Protection (Soziales, Gesundheit, Pflege und Konsumentenschutz) in the Stocker Government coalition.[2]

Personal life

Korinna Schumann was born in Vienna on 10 April 1966, and graduated from Sperlgymnasium[3] high school (wirtschaftskundliches Realgymnasium).[2] Her career spanned various positions as public servant, and SPOe trade unionist.

In 2018 Schumann was made Vice President of the Austrian Trade Union Federation.[4]
