Ka Chithi (English: The Letters) is a 2024 Jaintia drama film directed by Simi Khongtiang.[1][2] It was showcased at the 15th Bengaluru International Film Festival 2024.[3][4] The film got official selections at the 16th Habitat Film Festival, 1st North East India Film Festival, Manipur and 2nd Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival.[5][6]

The film was premiered at Soso Tham Auditorium in Shillong on 7 May 2024.[7]

Plot

The film tells the story of Darika, a 14 year old girl living with her grandparents. She is burdened with questions about her life that she cannot find answers to. As she tries to hunt for her answers from those close to her, she's shut down from all quarters, which is until she finds the letters. It might be the answers to everything she has ever wanted to know.
