Joe Cooney (born 1956/1957)[1] is an Irish Fine Gael politician who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Clare constituency since the 2024 general election.[2][3]

Cooney was a member of Clare County Council from 2004 to 2024, representing the Killaloe electoral area.[4][1]

Cooney previously ran a construction firm, and was the Clare County Board GAA chairman from 2016 to 2021.[5] He is married, and has three sons.[1]
