Jamie MacDonald (Scottish comedian)

Jamie MacDonald is a blind award winning stand-up comedian from Glasgow.
He has written and performed seven critically acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
In 2022 he won the ‘Best Presenter’ Grierson Award[1] for the BBC 2 documentary Blind Ambition. He has appeared on Live at the Apollo,[2] QI, Celebrity MasterChef and three times on Have I Got News for You.[3] He has written and performed two series of his radio 4 show Life on the Blink.[4]
Jamie suffers from the degenerative eye condition Retinitis pigmentosa (RP).[5]
He currently lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire with his wife. He is represented by Hannah Layton from Inter Talent.
