Ingelec is a Moroccan company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of low-voltage electrical equipment. Founded in 1975, it is part of the Sekkat Group and is headquartered in Casablanca.

History

[edit]

Ingelec was established in 1975 during a period of emerging industrial development in Morocco. The company originated from an initiative by the Sekkat family, which was already active in the plastics industry. Its initial activity focused on the production of switches for the construction sector.[1]

Activities

[edit]

Ingelec designs and markets electrical equipment primarily for residential, commercial, and industrial construction sectors. Its product range includes:

  • Switches, electrical outlets, and power strips;
  • Circuit breakers, electrical panels, and safety accessories;
  • Lighting solutions;
  • Accessories for electrical installations.

The company develops its own product lines under brands such as Tichka, Oscar, Alyans, and Tropic 2.[2][3]

International presence

[edit]

In addition to its operations in Morocco, Ingelec is present in over 20 countries, mainly in Sub-Saharan Africa, including Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Cameroon, and Gabon.[4]

Facilities

[edit]

Ingelec's headquarters is located in Casablanca. The company has several industrial sites in Morocco, including a main factory in Bouskoura, and a national distribution network.[5]
