The IndustryMasters® Group is a leadership development and training firm that leverages experiential learning and business simulations to help leaders improve business acumen, decision-making, and on-the-job behaviors.
Their digital learning solutions, or business simulations, are built on proven technology as tested by thousands of customers scattered around the globe, over the last decade. They have created solutions for groups as small as 15 participants and as large as several thousand; from learners gathered in a single room to teams participating and collaborating in different continents.
The IndustryMasters® platform has developed out of all recognition when compared to the earlier legacy products such as IndustryPlayer. Global entities now use these leadership simulations to develop their leaders’ skills in Innovation, Change Management, Team Building, Talent Management (including How to Motivate and Inspire, Creating High Performing Teams, Diversity & Inclusion, and more), Risk Taking, Managing Regulatory Environments, Strategic Alignment, and other issues relevant to succeeding in today’s business climate.
IndustryMasters® deliver exceptional learning experiences that meet a variety of client situations, from mobile learning and self-paced solutions to virtual classroom events, business wargaming, large tournaments, virtual-instructor-led-training and classroom seminars. Onsite facilitation can come from their expert team, or local facilitators can be trained in the technology.
Several notable global business schools have adopted the platform to educate and train Masters and MBA students in business management and corporate strategy, including Warwick Business School in the UK. A partnership with Warwick led to a Gold Award in the prestigious Learning Technology awards in 2020, for "Best Distance Learning Programme".
More recently, in 2024-2025, IndustryMasters® has pioneered the use of Artificial Intelligence to streamline business simulation design and production.
The IndustryPlayer Legacy: IndustryPlayer was the forerunner of the webserver-based version of IndustryMasters, both business simulation games and multiplayer online business strategy games based on a simulation of the real world economy, originally developed by Tycoon Sistemas Limitada of Brazil. Tycoon Sistemas Ltda and Tycoon Systems Inc. were eventually succeeded by IndustryMasters Limited.
IndustryPlayer participants took on the role of entrepreneurs and competed with each other in real-time for market leadership and shareholder value. The game allowed university students, business professionals, and others to attempt to engineer a successful corporate environment. Participants could log into the Web-based tool to play individually or in groups and get an evaluation of their performance. The game included a real-time corporate accounting system, industry analysis tools, and scoring and debriefing features.
IndustryMasters and Tycoon Systems Ltd have been selected for the past five years (2006–2010) to run "Mousetrap" a major IIMA Confluence Event[1][2][3] run at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA).[4] The annual "Mousetrap" competition uses the IndustryMasters game to allow 1,800 students in 600 teams of 3 people compete for virtual market dominance.
