Hernani is a village in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated approximately 44kms West of Dorrigo[8] and 106kms South of Grafton.[9]
Geography
[edit]Hernani covers an area of 238.9467 square kilometres.[4]
Transport
[edit]The locality is accessible from Grafton via Armidale Road Where it ends and joins Waterfall Way.[10][9] The nearest airport is located the Coffs Harbour Airport.
Name
[edit]Major Edward Parke, an early squatter, named the area after its resemblance of similair lans scapes of Hernani in the Spanish Basque province of Commons.[1][11]
