Goosemoor Green is a hamlet[1] in the Lichfield District in Staffordshire, England.[2] It is located close to the town of Burntwood. It is close to Gentleshaw Common. The hamlet is in Longdon parish, close to the villages of Chorley and Gentleshaw.
History
[edit]Goosemoor Green is first mentioned alongside neighbouring Longdon in the Saxons Era as meaning "long hill". The hamlet was nothing more than heathland.[3] Additionally, a brief passing mention of the hamlet can be found in the National Archives in 1932. With it mentioning Goosemoor Green as having "three cottages".[4]

[edit]The hamlet is mostly made up of private houses and farms.[5] The nearest shopping amenities are in Burntwood, Cannock, Hednesford, Lichfield and Rugeley. The nearest church is in Gentleshaw.
