Description
English: Memorial plaque for Fra Desiderius Scalia, Desiderio Scaglia (1567-1639), Cardinal for Cremona, bishop of Melfi, Rapolla, Como in Italy and Camerlengo of the Sacred College of Cardinals, also known as Fra Desiderio Scaglia of S. Carlo, called Cremona. The plaque was installed in 1653 by his nephew Deodato (Deodatus) Scaglia (1592-1659), bishop of Alessandria, Italy. Bishop's coat of arms, hat with tassels. Heraldic animals: crowned eagles, dogs.
