English: General American pronunciation of the word language with and without /æ/ raising. The first pronunciation is raised to [eɪ] and is the speaker's natural accent; very prevalent in the United States and Canada. The second pronunciation is without raising; a true [æ] sound; and the speaker forced himself to articulate the word that way. Other accents or dialects of English may normally use the true [æ] sound.
