Fairdealing is an unincorporated community and census-designated place located in northeastern Ripley County and western Butler County in southeastern Missouri, United States. As of the 2020 census, the community had a population of 543.[4] It is located along U.S. Route 160, approximately 16 miles (26 km) southwest of Poplar Bluff.[5]

A post office has been in operation at Fairdealing since 1883.[6] Several traditions attempt to explain the name.[7]

History

On March 14, 2025, an EF3 tornado struck the community at EF2 strength, which caused damage to homes, trees, and power poles in the area.[8][9]
