Draft talk:Tom Applebaum
Notability sources
[edit]I believe this article meets the WP:NACTOR and WP:GNG notability criteria. Here are three sources providing substantial, independent coverage of Tom Applebaum:
1. "Dancer Tom Applebaum" – Mako ([1]) – A detailed feature article profiling Applebaum's career and artistic work.
2. "HaHiluf (The Exchange)" – NFC Production Blog ([2]) – A professional production blog highlighting Applebaum's leading role in the film.
3. "Tom Applebaum – Cast Credit" – Plex ([3]) – Official cast listing confirming Applebaum’s acting credit in the film "Pravednik".
I believe the article meets WP:NACTOR criterion #3 because Tom Applebaum has had multiple significant roles in professionally produced works. AEmily212a (talk) 09:48, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
- == Award verification ==
- The article mentions that *Mesiba* received an Honorable Mention at the Beeston Film Festival. While there is no public listing of the award on the festival's website, the information is supported by official email correspondence from the festival organizers.
- The film's screening at the Nova Festival is supported by an independent media source: [4]. AEmily212a (talk) 10:08, 18 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Emily, thanks for sharing your Wikipedia:THREE! I'm afraid these sources aren't enough to show he is notable. Ref 1 is very short, and can't be said to be "substantial coverage". Ref 2 is a blog, which is neither reliable nor in this case independent of the subject as it it by the producer of the film. Ref 3 is not independent and it's only trivial coverage - just confirming that he was in the film. Wikipedia:ACTOR doesn't just require that a person was in multiple professional films, but that they had significant roles in multiple notable films. So you would need to show that. Realistically, I think it is Wikipedia:TOOSOON and that you need to wait a few years until there is more coverage of this person. Lijil (talk) 11:01, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
