Notability

[edit]

The 2019 Vanguard article appears to be an independent newspaper profile. (The 2023 article appears to be authored by the subject and thus does not count as independent.) The 2024 Guardian article clearly describes his career, not just his company. I don't understand how this article has been rejected on notability grounds without discussion of the sources provided. WeyerStudentOfAgrippa, Vanguard is marginally reliable (see WP:NGRS) and I don’t think that one source from The Guardian is sufficient. I don’t think being a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers equals being a fellow to merit the criteria for academics. I consider myself an inclusionist but I don’t think that this one cuts it. I am open to change my opinion if more sources are presented. Best, Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 20:43, 20 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for responding. I searched for additional sources and found only a Business Day article that seems reliable but not primarily about Ajiboye. This draft appears to be stuck here for now, as it has not been shown to have general notability by way of multiple strong sources. I don't see how frequent resubmissions are helpful to anyone here. However, reliably sourced content may be eligible for inclusion in other articles. WeyerStudentOfAgrippa (talk) 21:09, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@WeyerStudentOfAgrippa, if you think there’s a 50% chance of this surviving an AfD, by all means, move it to mainspace. Best, Reading Beans, Duke of Rivia 21:40, 21 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
