Text and/or other creative content from Mr. Beat was merged into Draft:Mr. Beat on 5 February 2025 after being nominated for deletion. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.
Thanks for rescuing the draft. Despite the AfD vote, I'm fairly confident that Beat is at least borderline notable -- most of the sources about him are recent, and I don't doubt that more will arrive given his increasing popularity. Billclinton1996 (talk) 11:30, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Beat lists all of the interviews and news articles he's in on his Web site. While interviews don't generally count towards notability which is the main focus right now, they are useful primary sources that we can utilise to get rid of the excessive amount of stuff sourced to his YouTube videos. I note that a few of the potential news sources aren't in the article either, and the article would certainly benefit from their addition. Billclinton1996 (talk) 11:40, 11 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No. Wait until sources appear. The article was just declined at Afd. Before trying to submit the draft again, please inform the main contributors @MrPersonHumanGuy: and myself. Unilaterally submitting articles like this is an easy path to get this draft permanently rejected. Billclinton1996 (talk) 21:22, 6 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should publish this article as it is basically complete and this article is notable and extensive and ready for mainspace. I can guarantee you it won't be deleted. Liamlalaliam (talk) 15:14, 9 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I can tell, the sourcing is exact same as the article that got AFD'd, where the primary concern were that sources were, well, primary, as almost all of them were based on interviews with Beat himself. I personally felt the notability was borderline, but this article will almost certainly get deleted in this state. Based5290 :3 (talk) 05:10, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No! Stop trying to force this draft into mainspace. I fully agree with what @Based5290 said. The sources in the previous article were mostly primary and that is what they are right now. The draft has not radically changed to prove Beat's notable enough to surpass the Afd discussion which firmly established he was not notable at this time. It's going to get repeatedly declined and possibly even WP:SALTED if the article is pushed in too many times (see J.J. McCullough which is protected from creation due to repeated attempts to get him an article). It's not difficult to wait until sources appear. Billclinton1996 (talk) 17:18, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
