Mitchell O. Hoenig

Mitchell O. Hoenig is a notable figure in the field of superconductivity, particularly recognized for his contributions to the development and stabilization of superconducting magnets. He authored influential papers, including “Dense supercritical-helium cooled superconductors for large field stabilized magnets” published in IEEE Transactions on Magnets in 1975, which has been widely cited in subsequent research on superconducting materials and magnet design, and credited for current breakthrough technology.
