Notability

[edit]

Hello @Onel5969:. I'm surprised you would question the notability of this topic, since it's included in Unesco's list of intangible heritage of humanity (see 1). But even that aside, several books in English do mention it and explain it in some detail, such as 2, and 3, and websites, such as 1, 2.

In French: 1, 2, 3, 4

In Arabic: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

And these are just some non-trivial mentions.-- Ideophagous (talk) 13:19, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Are any of those sources in the article? Onel5969 TT me 13:20, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, two of them, one from BBC Arabic (link), and the other Aujourd'hui Le Maroc (link). The Unesco link is included in the infobox. -- Ideophagous (talk) 14:13, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Onel5969 and @DoubleGrazing. I have created a new article about the topic, by translating it from French this time. I originally created the article in haste, since it wasn't high on my priority list, which resulted in it getting moved to the draft namespace (though I believe it should have stayed in the main namespace and been improved instead). If you wish, please check the new article, and feel free to delete this one if it satisfies Wikipedia's notability and quality requirements. Best regards!
