History
[edit]The concept for the project & world album originated in Amsterdam, Netherlands by Brandon Beckwith. Artists were allowed to keep full ownership of their music, 100% of their royalties, and were encouraged they use half towards philanthropy in their home country or anywhere on Earth. Beckwith launched the project on June 11, 2023 & traveled to 30 countries to find music artists & build an A&R team. It took 14 months for Beckwith & his team to complete the artist search & an additional 9 months to finish production of The World Album. The selection process required artists to have been either born or raised in their respective countries. Along the way, in-person artist gatherings were held & all artists were connected in a community group channel where they could share their music & culture with each other.
Production & Distribution
[edit]Over 200 artists participated in The World Album from every country in the world, contributing either newly created songs or previously released songs. In addition, some artists teamed up to collaborate on their contributions. The album is distributed by the music label, KeepClear Records through Symphonic Distribution.
