Between the years 2000 to 1000 BC there was life in the Levant . The ancient Canaanites who are the Semitic ancestors of the present day Palestinians . Shortly after the Hebrews which is a term derived from the Egyptian word 'Ebrew' , which means nomad, escaped from captivity around the year 1500 BC , the ancient Hebrews traveled into the land called in the Bible Palestina . From day one the Hebrews attacked and slaughtered entire villages and towns of people. Under various rulers and Kings, the Hebrews started a ruthless campaign of ethnic cleansing in order to claim a land they had never been to. In fact, the Hebrews were the children of Israel who was also known as Jacob the son of Isaac the 2nd son of Abraham, and Abraham himself, was from the city of Ur in the ancient land of Sumer. Which is in fact modern day Iraq.
Throughout the ancient history of Israel, they steadily persecuted and slaughtered the Philistines ( Palestinians ) in order to slowly take more and more of their land.
In 1897 CE a man by the name of Theodor Herzl created Zionism. The was and idea that all Jewish people had a right by birth to an historic homeland promised to them by God.
In 1917 the British Empire, came with the Balfour Declaration, in their support for helping establish Palestine as the Jewish Homeland.
