The Albion is one of Hackney's oldest pubs, with its history tracing back to the 1600s.[1]
In July 2024, Hackney Council blocked a developer proposal to turn the pub into a three-bedroom house, which followed a campaign by groups including the Campaign for Real Ale.[2]
