Thaldara Village is in Kangpokpi, Manipur, India (Lat: 25.1890680, Long: 93.8366891), nestled in the Himalayas. Home to ~500 Gorkhas, it has a rich 18th-century history, blending Nepali, Indian, and Manipuri cultures. Villagers celebrate Dashain, Tihar, Baishakhi, and excel in handicrafts & farming. Basic education & healthcare exist, but infrastructure, economic growth, and higher education access remain challenges. Despite this, Thaldara thrives as a culturally vibrant community with potential for growth.
