Talking Tom Cat is a 2010 video game created by Outfit7. The game features a cat named "Tom" who repeats the player's speech in a funny voice and interactable buttons by tapping them does various animations. The game was inspired by a 2009 video gamed Talking Carl, an app which has similar gameplay to this app.
Gameplay
[edit]Tom will repeats the player's speech in a high-pitch voice (requires microphone permission), the buttons shown on the user's interface is visible on the bottom-left/right and upper-left/right,
- Scratch - Tom will scratch the screen.
- Fart - Make Tom fart.
- Food - Select foods and Tom will do funny action after eating them.
- Record - Record videos and share them to social medias.
- I - Shows game features.
Poke Tom's head, belly, legs and tails, pet Tom and he will become happy.

History
[edit]After Outfit7 had attempts creating apps which were unsuccessful in 2009, after six months of failed attempts, Outfit7 created a game named "Talking Tom Cat" with it's model taken from TurboSquid named "CAT CARTOON" made by Andrey Kravchenko and published in 2004, which applauded him for his model featured in the game.[1] The app went popular after some days, as of December 2024 the app got over 500 million downloads.[2] In April 26, 2016, the app got a redesign matching the Talking Tom & Friends franchise's new look, it's unknown why it got a redesign, some people think the original model looked uncanny while some others think Outfit7 hide references prior to 2014.[citation needed]
