Takane Ezoe is a Japanese actor, artist, designer, creator, entrepreneur, and the president of Takane.E.Office Co., Ltd.[1] Her real name is Takane Ezoe (江副 敬子 , Ezoe Takane). She is using her official stage name of "TAKANE" (written in alphabetic capital letters) for her activities in Japan, although using her real name (Takane Ezoe) outside Japan.[2] Her father is Hiromasa Ezoe, the founder of Recruit Co., Ltd. She was born in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. She graduated from the Department of Aesthetics and Art History, Faculty of Letters, Keio University. Takane planned, launched, and managed the restaurant “Smachnogo” in Nishi-Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo to support Ukrainian refugees.[3] After closing the restaurant, she is still continuing her supportive activities to the refugees, such as starting to broadcast her YouTube program titled "Smachnogo's Cooking School ".[4]
Her acting management is outsourced to Shochiku Geino Co., Ltd. In Italy, she is affiliated with Film Studio Effe.[5]
Biography and Personality
[edit]Takane Ezoe has lived in Italy and speaks six languages (Italian, French, Spanish, English, Chinese, and Japanese).[6]
She entered Keio University after passing the University Entrance Qualification Examination (now called the Upper Secondary School Equivalency Examination).[7]
Her career as an artist and actor started while she was living in Italy. She majored in Aesthetics and Art History at the Faculty of Letters of Keio University. After acquiring her bachelor's degree in “Performing Arts”, she started her career as an artist while attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Accademia di Belle in Milan. She also participated in drama schools in Rome and Milan, studying stage acting in Italian language.[6]
Takane is also well-versed in Japanese culture. She is a natori, or acknowledged dancer of the Hanayagi dancing school (she was given the honorable name of “Oumisei”).[8] She is also a certified kimono dressing instructor, and has a second-level Kyoto Tourism and Culture Certification.[9]
