Seol Yoon-a (Korean: 설윤아; born January 26, 2004), better known by her stage name Sullyoon (Korean: 설윤) is a South Korean singer and dancer who debuted as a member of JYP Entertainment's girl group Nmixx in 2022.[1]
Early life
[edit]Sullyoon was born as Seol Yoona on January 26,2004 in Daejeon, South Korea.She attended Hanlim Multi Art School and graduated on February 10,2023.[2]Her family consists of her two brothers and parents.[3]
Career
[edit]Pre-debut
[edit]Sullyoon was a former trainee of Woollim Entertainment and was supposed to debut on their girl group Rocket Punch, she passed many auditions for big companies such as SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment but chose JYP Entertainment in 2020.[4]
On September 3,2021, Sullyoon was revealed as a member of Nmixx through a video covering the song Full Moon by Sunmi.[5]
Debut
[edit]Sullyoon made her debut with Nmixx on February 22, 2022 with single debut album Ad Mare with the lead single "O.O "[6][7]
On July 30, 2022 and August 1, 2022 Sullyoon participated on the 2022 Idol Star Athletics Championships which was aired in September 9, 2022 and won fourth place.[8]
On April 6, 2023 it was announced that Sullyoon would be the new host for Show! Music Core.[9]
Artistry and image
[edit]Sullyoon has taken ballet and modern dance classes, since she was 5 years old, She can speak Spanish and English, her singing , dancing , facial expressions and appearance have gathered huge widespread on the internet.[10][11]
Endorsements
[edit]On April 19, 2022 Sullyoon served as a face for the opening of Wooyoungmi's new pop-up boutique called "Silver Lining".[12]
