Squid Island is the fifth and longest-airing major troll town series, airing from November 8th, 2023 to August 8th, 2024. It ended following an unexpected and unprecedented IP leak destroying the server the series was set on. The main gimmick was that it revolves around the chemistry between Robust and the return of Crainer after his exit from the group in May 2022, resulting in more friendly, mild and fewer trolls, as well as them recording on the server together more often than usual. Despite this, drama appears to be the most intense, arguably parallel to that of the Robust Town Castle Wars, As a major series, it succeeds the third season of Cow Town, generally retroactively separated as the Bee Town series.

Slogo has used the "New Squid Island" logo in all of his solos and group videos since the Treaty of Squid Island. On June 4, 2024, Crainer changed his logo to have a few adjustments, including a crown on the logo and three tentacles on the bottom. There would also be an animation for the logo.

On November 8, 2023, after it was announced that Crainer would be returning to the group, Robust uploaded new videos from different perspectives which set up a brand new series, and this is the first video recording with Crainer since his exit in mid 2022. The series/server was supposed to be a non-troll series, but of course, everybody started trolling eachother. The name was revealed to be "Squid Island" on the 15th of November, after Crainer saw Henward near the shore of the titular island. It is also a bit more mature than previous series, with Slogo calling Crainer a "dumbass" and saying “dammit”, and making occasional political remarks, in addition to dark humour jokes and occasional bleeped swearing. Season One was set on the titular island of the same name, on the seed -2675469009142508511[1], the rough centre in coordinates being 860, X, 660. However, after the start of Season Two, a new world was created where they started afresh. Season Two is set on an the seed -2175743598148543224[2], with the main setting being The Squid Islands. Unlike all of the previous major series, Squid Island doesn’t use the ‘Noun Town’ naming pattern, it instead opting for a ‘Noun Land' naming pattern.

Although the series premiered on November 8th, the series’ origin dates back to October 20th, as that was the date in UTC that Crainer uploaded a video titled, , mustering his audience to spam #WEWANTCRAINERBACK on Jelly and Slogo’s channels in order to gain their attention and in order to reunite Robust, which ended up happening on the aforementioned November 8th date. The series developed from the reunion of Robust and was centred around that general concept, such as the introduction of a mayoral office in order to establish order on the main location of the setting, the city of Squid Island, in homage of the previous series being around the towns, as well as a presidential office later on. Unlike the previous troll town series, it is not based on video likes to continue the series; the series rather appears to be ongoing regardless of opinion considering that it is probably their most successful series content as of its airing. The series stopped airing after the August 6 Squid Island IP Leak and has been replaced by Cherry Island. Unfortunately, Jelly did not join the new island as a community post on YouTube by Slogo announced Jelly's departure from the group.[3] Instead, the new series would be focused on the chemistry between Slogo, Crainer, and Fin.

17: Crainer puts sand on top of the house on Jelly’s Temple as a troll in retaliation for the gift sabotage.

18: Slogo rigs Jelly’s chest with TNT so that when he opens it, it blows up, as a troll for the same motive as Crainer’s troll the day prior. He also finds the first diamond on the server and stashes it away in a block near the Slogo Hut.

19: Jelly clears up the sand troll by Crainer and finishes construction on his temple. In order to secure his valuables, he constructs a secret underground labyrinth inside his temple, and in a secret area makes a large room for such purpose.

22: The trio decide to memorialize Henward and replace him with a glow squid, naming him King Glowey I as per Slogo. The troll on Jelly by Slogo works, and theres a little bit of terraforming done, repairing holes in the process. They also together find loads of diamonds.

24: Jelly decides to sabotage Crainer’s 'pooper' inside his house, a mine entrance, with lava, so that Crainer falls into it, dies, and loses all of his items. 5 of Slogo’s 11 diamonds also get stolen by Jelly.

26: Slogo converts his hut, not special by many regards compared to the other two’s houses, into the tallest structure so far, a mighty lighthouse standing 22 blocks high. He also uncovers the basement of Jelly’s Temple and fills it with the farm cows, some entering Crainer’s house.

29: Crainer uncovers that the pooper troll was orchestrated by Jelly, and in a heavy debate, Slogo decides to settle the debate in a boxing match, albeit more of a fist fight. The winner gets all of the loser’s items last in their inventory. Crainer won the match and got all of Jelly’s stuff.

December

[edit]

1: Jelly begins renovating King Glowey I's residence, building up a statue of the King made out of light and dark blue wool a la breeding sheep, with a lazily plastered magma face on the front of it.

2: Crainer inspects the Glowey statue, and then moves out of Squid Island temporarily, constructing a simple but abstract underwater house at the bottom of the Squid Island seas, as he assumed that his large community farm was being barely due to the Crain Crib getting in the way. The comments on his video demanded him to return to Squid Island immediately, causing major uproar in the community.

3: Slogo inspects the newly built Glowey statue like Crainer did before him, and uncovers signs in his house that indicates Jelly being a lousy freeloader once again. However the main headliner of his video would be the construction of the Squid Island Wishing Well, with it being used as a Tax Office type scheme.

6: Crainer and Slogo teamed up to absolutely wreck Jelly’s Temple, with them uncovering Jelly's chest in his roof that housed Josh's original 5 diamonds, his underground chest room that he never used, and much more. After the entire structure was completely destroyed, the construction on Crainer's Sand Castle began. This would be the catalyst of the Mayor idea.

8: Jelly discovers the recently enacted troll on him, and becomes really sad at the fact his pyramid was destroyed. He then went on to build Floating Squid Island, with the fans giving him immense support to continue the series.

9: Slogo began overhauling the Floating Squid Island complex into "the mega meatball" and tried to make it the best he can to get Jelly to return to the server and peace to be restored among the boys.

10: Crainer wanted to give Jelly an apology gift. A gift that couldn't be beaten. So, what he did was he got a large sum of diamonds from the community mine, and gifted them to Jelly, another comforting moment.

12: Jelly uncovered the wishing well troll, and was greatly surprised by the absolute absurdity of it. He also questioned why his house looked very strange compared to its previous form.
File:Mayor helmet.png

13: The Squid Island government would be established, with every mayoral item being collected, and the first election being hosted. Slogo would defeat candidates Jelly and Crainer. This made him create Law 1, significantly reducing the chance of trolls by introducing a tax for trespassing.

15: Crainer would spend most of his solo episode doing his task awarded to him by Mayor Slogo since the previous group video, with him building a very questionable looking tower, a bigger knockoff of the Slogo Lighthouse.

16: Jelly, like Crainer, would also begin his work, with him doing "community service" on the island. He also swam down to the bottom of a giant pool, and stored his diamonds in an excavated cave to keep them safe from the others.

17: Slogo, since he didn't have any tasks to do, opened up a community pet shop on the north west side of the city. He inspected the tasks, also. This would be the introduction of the characters Bobby, Melvin and Anton since they would soon adopt pets.

20: On this day’s mayoral election, Jelly would defeat candidates Crainer and Slogo. He created Law 2, stating that no tower- type structures were allowed on the island, jeopardising the Slogo Lighthouse and Crainer's watchtower on his sand castle. They also built a central enchantment area and adopted their pets.

22: Slogo went on to move out of his old lighthouse, taking Bobby and his loot with him as well. But, Josh was not homeless as he built himself a new home. The Observatory. A giant dome shaped house perfect for looking out into the stars.

23: Crainer would open up a petting zoo on the island and, unlike Josh, had just cut down his watchtower a bit.

24: Jelly would go on to upgrade himself with epic enchantments on his weapons and armour, naming a diamond pickaxe THE BEAST, and was ready to flex his power on Crainer and Slogo next month.

January

[edit]
3: The three get rid of King Glowey I’s enclosure and build large canals stretching through the town as his new residence. The King Glowey Statue is also burned down by Crainer, who ended up winning that day’s mayoral election. Law 3 is enacted, a getback on Jelly for forcing him to demolish his watchtower, as it forced Jelly to move back onto the island.
File:Jellypyramidwithhiminfront.jpg

5: Jelly partially damages his residence, takes all of his belongings, and ventures to the opposite side of the island to construct his deepslate pyramid, the first in his now notable lava architecture.

6: Slogo diverts the flowing lava beam of Jelly’s deepslate pyramid to blanket the entire structure in lava, before framing it on Crainer. He additionally sets up a flower shop, done to both make it seem more legitimate that Crainer did it, and a way to deal with his storage of flowers he had acquired from his task.

7: Crainer constructs a doghouse for his pet Anton, and surveys the troll on Jelly’s pyramid conducted by Slogo, unaware that he was being framed beyond the cesspool of lava. He additionally builds an improved version of the community mine.

10: The troll causes a massive rift amongst the trio, with Slogo successfully tricking Jelly into thinking that Crainer had did it, also making him pay 10 diamonds for violating Law 1. The final democratic mayoral election would take place, leading to Jelly being reelected to a second, non-consecutive term, extending the term length from 1 week to 4 weeks, becoming an evil dictator. However, the trio worked together to revamp the town hall, constructed on the previous month’s 13th.

12: Crainer takes revenge on Slogo for the events of last episode by filling the top floor of his dome with water and fish, while sparing Bobby in the process. He additionally completes his task of relocating the petting zoo with obnoxiously precise guidelines, with severe punishments if not exactly met.

13: Slogo completes his task of getting rid of the ruins of the former Floating Squid Island. He does succeed in this, however used TNT to complete the task, which was not advised by Jelly when being tasked with the mission. This was also used as an excuse to bombard Crainer’s Sand Castle in spite of the troll he had left behind, covering it up as a "freak accident," also changing the colors of the sheep to all yellow rather than red, yellow and green each. He also finds an unnamed horse that has been since taken by Jelly, nicknamed Herschel by the audience.

14: Jelly, after seeing the developing rivalry between Slogo and Crainer, decides to settle the feud by kidnapping both of their dogs, Bobby and Anton, Slogo and Crainer respectively, to a nearby location on 'ransom', inventing the Warrent of the Law as an excuse to bend Law 1 as mayor.

17: In a desperate bid to settle the quarrelling of Slogo and Crainer, Jelly introduces Law 5, that initiated the short-lived concept of a lawsuit, to avenge Crainer with justice in times of strained relations, in return for both their pets being returned. This lawsuit, although Crainer did receive compensation, was influenced by the rhetorical wording of Slogo’s responses. They additionally constructed a massive nether portal.

19: Slogo, pestered by the fact that Crainer had received justice for his treatment, decided to plan a coup d'état against Jelly, citing his autocratic tendencies as a justification for the conspiracy. In order to do this, he encases Anton in an obsidian box to distract Jelly long enough to achieve his goal.

20: Crainer finally demolishes the ruins of his former Sand Castle and his pets dog house, the former completely torn by the explosions on it, and replaces it with a massive Viking houseboat.

23: Using the giant nether portal, Jelly tediously relocates villagers from a distant area in boats to approximately where modern Squid City is, building them simple huts, called slums by Slogo due to them resembling slums; these villagers are called Bob (after Bobby, name-tagged after Crainer’s pet dog), Ben (from a shortened version of Benjamin, the first name of Crainer in real life) and Katherine.
File:Assassinationjelly.png

26: The three decide to advance their progress in beating the game by exploring the nether to get blaze rods from nether fortresses, then proceeding by attempting to find ancient debris to make netherite out of, so that they can climb to netherite tools and weaponry. In order for this, they additionally go into a bastion to collect netherite smithing templates. Slogo is the first one to gain netherite equipment. Jelly decides to muster the other two and follow them to the town hall to announce the extension of his term from 4 weeks to 8 weeks, a more exacerbated and decisive dictatorial move. Slogo then triggers the rigged TNT contraption he set up exactly a week prior, assassinating Jelly, implying to declare himself mayor and sparking the Squid Island Civil War.

28: Jelly ignites Crainer’s houseboat, then heading to Slogo's Oberservatory and igniting the second floor of the building before igniting the floor of the first, while attempting to spare Bobby. Jelly would leave messages for the both of them, before evacuating his pyramid with his pet Melvin to a secret bunker to evade punishment.

29: Crainer is forced out of his now destroyed boat, and settles in a secret bunker inside the pet store of Squid Island, but first collects his own netherite gear and surveys the damage of yesterday’s attacks, as well as gathering over valuable resources in case of the worst.

30: The now mayor Slogo surveys the damage, like Crainer, of the events of the 28th. He first clears up some of the destruction caused, before proceeding to once again drench Jelly’s deepslate pyramid in lava and just-so-happening to conveniently find where Crainer was hiding out, stealing his valuables. He finally then proceeds to take King Glowey I with him to establish the provisional New Squid Island, though accidentally murdering him in the process.

22: Jelly would try to search for his cat Melvin, however it was to no avail.

25: Crainer would finally be out of prison, and soon Jelly would be put on a pillory, being egged by Jelly and Slogo due to tax evasion. The three would go on to build a monorail that goes around the whole island.

26: Crainer would create a farm for Slogo's task given to them, which was to provide food. Crainer would have to craft 64 pumpkin pies. He would also start a company called Crainer Co., which was soon rebranded to Humpy Co.

27: Jelly would finally find his cat Melvin, and build a farm and gather rabbit stew for his taxes.

May

[edit]

1: On the final day of his first term, Slogo would controversially auction off the land of Jelly's Lava Skyscraper to Crainer. He would also request to both Jelly and Crainer to give him a gift, and pay 36 gold ingots in taxes. Crainer would then drain out the lava skyscraper in its entirety. Crainer would rename Crainer Co. to Humpy Co.

3: After the new snapshot, Slogo would upgrade Bork by giving him wolf armour from armadillos. In the meantime, he would find a forest wolf and name her Kat, as if she was Bork's girlfriend.

4: Jelly would start a security company called Jelly Inc., with its grand opening having a 75% discount for all sales valid for 3 weeks.

5: Crainer would finally demolish Jelly's Lava Skyscraper in its entirety, replacing it with a new skyscraper which served as the headquarters of Humpy Co. He would pay the taxes, but forget to give Slogo a gift and say the pledge of allegiance.

8: As a result of the wrongdoings by Crainer, he would get controversially severely punished by both Jelly and the re-elected president Slogo by getting killed two times and his netherite pickaxe being stolen.
File:Calamari.png
The Statue of Calamari, the presumed successor to the King Glowey Statue of old
10: Slogo would start the groundwork for the Statue of Calamari by building a base for the structure. He would also order 1,000 of the resource that Humpy Co. would produce. Slogo would then proceed to upgrade the Bork Statue and pay taxes.

11: Crainer would also contribute to the foundation of the statue, as he put a lot of blue, cyan, and light blue concrete in chests. He would pay his taxes and pledge allegiance. Soon, he would construct a boat factory for Humpy Co. and place down 1,000 boats on Slogo Land.

12: Jelly would build the alarm system that Slogo requested on Slogo's Land.

16: Crainer would expose Jelly for stealing his items from when he was severely punished. Eventually, the group decides that Crainer's netherite pickaxe would be donated to the town hall. The Statue of Calamari is completed.

17: Slogo would give inspection notices to Jelly Inc. and Humpy Co.. Jelly Inc. did well overall, while Humpy Co. performed poorly and was marked "in violation" in all areas. Due to multiple violations, including an unpermitted land extension, Slogo issued a foreclosure notice to Humpy Co. and mentioned that both companies (especially Humpy Co.) must improve by the next inspection.

18: Jelly would introduce a new product for his company: Iron Golem "Security Guards". Jelly would then protect Squid City's residents by building secure gates at the entrances of the village. The iron golems would then be placed inside the village to protect the residents.

19: Crainer would destroy his second boathouse (which he doesn't really use), and relocate his boat factory to Crainer Land Lake (where the second boathouse was). This relocated boat factory would have a tree farm/sanctuary, just like before. The lake would then turn into a boat/fish sanctuary. Crainer would then upgrade the Squid Island Port.

20: Slogo would claim the ownership of a piece of land (with a permit) near Slogo Land. This land would be named "Bork Island". Slogo would then build a Bork Co. Beef and Clothing factory here, along with a monorail that connects Slogo Land to Bork Island. Slogo would give Crainer and Jelly leather pants as a gift in celebration of the new factory.

21: Jelly Inc. would build Crainer a Humpy Statue, as a new and secure home for Humpy.

22: Crainer would build a cactus farm for Humpy. Crainer would also build a bamboo farm. After finishing the farms, Crainer would tip Jelly Inc. some green dye (produced by the cactus farm) for the amazing statue that they built.

23: Slogo would remove the extensions of land on Crainer Land (the back of the Humpy Statue) and Jelly Land (the back of the Jelly Inc. Pyramid). Slogo would then make follow up inspections for Humpy Co. and Jelly Inc., with ratings from 1-10. Humpy Co. and Jelly Inc. would both get a rating of 10/10 for their premises, products, and contracts. Slogo would then start being a bit of a dictator. He'd make the tasks related to only benefitting Bork Co., and he'd make the tax 64 diamonds.
File:Deadborkstatue.jpg
The Dead Bork Bone Statue shortly after construction
24: In response to Slogo's autocratic behaviour, Jelly would build a dead Bork statue on Bork Island.

25: Crainer would make a giant billboard reading "VOTE CRAINER" to encourage people to vote for him in the next election.

26: Slogo would remove Jelly Inc.'s Security Alarm System due to the threats against Slogo's dog, Bork, and ask Jelly to remove all the remaining equipment. Slogo would then build a new home for Bork and Kat.

27: Jelly would build a TNT trap underneath the Squid Island Vault to protect it from thieves.

28: Crainer would build a gold farm in the nether to produce a new building block and resource for his land.

29: Slogo would build a Bork Co. Vault to store Bork Co.'s valuables.
File:Vaultexplosion.png
The Squid Island Vault attack as it progressed
30: Slogo accidentally sets off the TNT under the Squid Island Vault (by breaking a block in Jelly's TNT trap that was connected to a sticky piston), which causes the Squid Island Vault Attack. Jelly and Crainer would then have a presidential debate on which one of them should be elected as the next president. Slogo then stores the 64 diamonds and other valuables that weren't destroyed in the attack, inside the Bork Co. Vault. Slogo takes 3 diamonds as part of his payment for Law 5, and mentions that the rest of the valuables in the Bork Co. Vault will be moved into the Squid Island Vault once it's rebuilt.

31: Jelly builds himself a presidential stage. The stage is in an upside-down pyramid sitting right above the Jelly Inc. Pyramid (making the Jelly Inc. The Pyramid sort of look like an hour glass.)

June

[edit]

1: Crainer tears down his greenhouse and replaces it with a presidential stage. He plans to make an automated version of the greenhouse in his next solo. Crainer would then bribe Josh to vote for him, by telling him that if he (Crainer) were to become president, Bork Co. can keep Bork Island without having any consequences. Crainer also mentions that he wants a future where Bork Co., Jelly Inc., and Humpy Co. all get along and work together.

2: Slogo tears down a section of the monorail at the back of the Jelly Inc. Pyramid and puts a "in repair" sign on it due to land expansion reasons. Slogo then replaces the wheat farm Crainer built for him with a way more automated one. After that, Slogo decides that he will endorse Crainer's campaign and build a "VOTE CRAINER" billboard in his next solo.

3: Jelly adopts a new pet bee, and names it "Beenny Too" (in commemoration of Beenny). He then constructs an enclosure for Beenny Too located underneath the Beenny Memorial Statue (around Beenny's Grave). The enclosure is encased in Green Stained Glass and contains a hive, trees and flowers.
File:BorkCo.Billboard1.png
The troll Bork Sign; the Vote Crainer sign is virtually impossible to make out
4: Crainer finds out that Slogo has trolled him by making a small "VOTE CRAINER" note on a sign in the middle of a huge "BORK" billboard in Slogo Land (making the "VOTE CRAINER" sign near impossible to see.) Crainer then constructs the automated version of his greenhouse (containing the previous farms) and merges it in with his cactus farm. The greenhouse is now 3 stories tall. 5: Slogo blocks off the entrance to the Squid Island Vault, as it is under construction due to the Squid Island Vault Attack. He transports the valuables still inside the vault into his Bork Co. Vault. Slogo then sets up chores for Jelly to do in the Squid Island Prison as he plans to have Jelly sentenced when Crainer becomes president. Finally, Slogo puts away his trident and president suit, as a new president would be elected very soon.
File:CrainerPresidentialStage.jpg
The presidential stage Crainer was inaugurated on
8: With 6.2K out of 10k votes, Crainer won the June 8th presidential election 2024. Slogo passes the president's trident and suit to Crainer in his stage, and Crainer promises to have freedom, peace, and prosperity in his speech. Slogo reveals that he removed his stage, further making Crainer like Slogo better. Crainer announces to keep Bork Island, and extend Jelly's pyramid land. Even after this, when Crainer asks to extend his Humpy statue land, Slogo and Jelly disagreed, but Jelly tried to make a negotiation to get his lava tower land back to extend Crainer's land. Crainer put down the offer. Jelly offered one diamond to Slogo for one stack of iron blocks after "blowing up the vault" to repair the damages. This later was his task. Slogo showed the punishment in the prison to Jelly and Crainer for Jelly's future sentence. Jelly's presidential stage was used as a courtroom, Slogo as the prosecutor, and Jelly as the defense. In the end, Crainer, the judge, sentenced Jelly one episode for blowing up the vault. They eventually put him in prison to work. After Jelly was put, Crainer made a new law saying that TNT is not allowed anywhere and should be confiscated next week.

9: Crainer changes his "VOTE CRAINER" billboard to say "President" instead, as "VOTE CRAINER" is outdated due to the election just ending. Crainer then shuts down Jelly Inc., and explains that the company must change their name to "Beenny Co." in order for it be legal and operating again. Lastly, Crainer sends Slogo a note that explains where the communal farm should be built.

10: Slogo demolishes the community market and replaces it with a communal farm (This was his task). Slogo trolls Crainer by making most of the farm just a giant sign that reads "BORK FARM", and making the actual farming space a 3x3. Slogo also demolishes the Squid Island Beacon.

11: While Jelly is working on his prison chores, he finds a entrance to an underwater ravine in the quarry. When exploring the ravine, he finds a path that leads him to the Community Mine, and he escapes prison (The quarry has other exits aswell). After that, he goes and grabs resources from Squid Island to help him finish his prison chores. When he returns, he finishes his chores (which include writing 5 pages of his regrets and mistakes).

12: Crainer tears down the walls of his land and replaces them with more presidential themed walls that are made out of sandstone and gold. He also makes a small flag made from sandstone and gold in his land. Crainer then inspects the "Bork Farm" Slogo built, and is disappointed by how he didn't do his task well. Suddenly, Slogo joins the game, and him and Crainer argue on the communal farm task. Eventually, Crainer burns down the "BORK FARM" sign, and plans to punish Slogo. After that, Crainer announces his "Citizen of the Week" idea, where every week a citizen will be chosen based on how good they've behaved. Crainer sends a note to Jelly that tells him he's been elected for "Citizen of the Week". Lastly, Crainer sends a note to Slogo mentioning that he has gold, and he wants to do business/trade with him.
File:Museum of Squid Island.jpg

13: Slogo constructs the Museum of Squid Island, which is located on his land. The museum is shaped similary to Slogo's Observatory, as it looks like a dome. The museum features the Squid Island Beacon, and includes ancient items and books that preserve the history of Squid Island.

14: Jelly changes his company name to "Beenny Co.", as requested by Crainer. Jelly then starts working on the Beeny Co. Gate in Crainer Land that Crainer requested, but plans to finish it in his next solo. After that, Jelly finally rebuilds the vault using the purchased iron from Slogo. Lastly, Jelly builds an emerald factory for Beenny Co., but ends up failing. He plans to make another one that actually works in the near future, as he wants the signature blocks of Beenny Co. to be emerald blocks.

15: The group puts the former and Crainer's tax in the newly fixed vault. The group goes to the End, equipping their armors and weapons. After they beat the Ender Dragon, Crainer announced the Citizen of The Week, which was Jelly, and Jelly did a speech too. As for the reward, Jelly helped Crainer made a law, saying abusing villagers for a certain product or food (farm) is banned unless if they look "good". The task was only originally only specified for Slogo, but Jelly declined the other award. Tasks: Slogo - To build a giant Crainer statue ontop of Bork HQ, Jelly - Make the middle of Squid Island look prettier. Taxes: Jelly - 10 Gold Blocks, Slogo - 15 Gold Blocks, Crainer - 30 Gold Blocks. After Crainer announced Jelly as Citizen of The Week, him and Jelly would start targetting Slogo. At the end of the episode, Slogo appears very mad.
File:Resignation.png
The resignation letter of Crainer left in the town hall
16: Crainer officially resigns his role as president, and makes Jelly the next president. He leaves a note in the town hall explaining his resignation. He also notifies Jelly and Slogo about this.

17: Slogo shuts down his iron and food farm due to the recent Law 8. Then, Slogo decides that shut down every factory he owns (including the one in Bork Island), and mentions that since the iron one was what made Bork Co. work, Bork Co. is now "useless". After that, Slogo observes a squid in the sea that reminds him of Henward. Slogo then makes the conclusion that this squid is in fact Henward, therefore resurrecting him. He names him "King Henward" and puts him in an enclosure on the cut off part of Squid Island near Slogo Land, which Slogo discovered to actually be an island. Slogo then establishes the island and proposes that a new kingdom could be built here, one with more freedom than the regular Squid Island, an anarchic land.

18: Jelly takes the role as president, but then realizes that Crainer's choice of making him as president is illegal, which means no citizen is in power, as Slogo has already ran his two terms. Jelly then confirms that his emerald farm is working, but it could still be improved. After that, Jelly builds an underwater throne for King Glowey III that will be used for discussing the future of Squid Island with the group (especially Slogo) in the next group video.

19: Crainer decides to moves out of Squid Island, as he has become tired of all of the politics in place. Crainer goes to the End to gather shulker boxes from an End city so he can pack up his things. He manages to gather a bunch of loot both from the End city and the End ship, including an Elytra. Crainer then stores his most important resources in the shulker boxes, brings along Humpy with him. and officially moves out of Squid Island.

20: Slogo starts The Cult of King Henward. He collects resources and makes a pool for King Henward (with a tree in the center) and a small tent. He makes a tunnel that connects the King Henward enclosure to the pool, so that he can bring King Henward to the pool.

21: Jelly finds out that both Slogo and Crainer have left Squid Island. Bork Co. has been shut down, and there's cobwebs and gates everywhere signifying it's abandoned. Jelly then demolishes Crainer's Billboard, and plans to build a wall around Squid Island. Then, while Jelly is demolishing the Bork Co. Sign, he discovers The Cult of King Henward. Jelly finds it very absurd. After that, Jelly demolishes the borders of each trios' land, as now that they have left, it supposedly belongs to Squid City. Finally, Jelly builds a huge castle-looking wall around Squid Island in line with the monorail. Jelly also removes 3 stars from the United States of Squid Island flag.

22: Jelly has a talk with Slogo in Bork Island, with Crainer not joining in. Jelly wants Slogo to come back, but Slogo refuses and calls him a dictator even if Jelly is the only citizen. Slogo eventually leaves. Jelly creates "Squid Inc.", in which owns both Bork Co. and HUMPY Co and is owned by Squid Island. He put the HQ inside the former "Town Hall". He mostly revives Bork Co. and HUMPY Co., except the Bee Factory due to his bee pet, and some factories because he needs a YouTube tutorial. He also removes the vines and cobwebs from both corporations. He also takes the vault's riches and puts them in a safer place. While that, Slogo thinks that Jelly will try to kill King Henward. Slogo wants Crainer to join to make him see Jelly manipulated him. He ressurrects Banton and Anton to get Crainer back. While that, he finds Crainer's Cavern, where Crainer supposedly lives in, as Humpy is in the cavern. He also finds Bonk and Tonk, 2 donkeys, in the cavern. He gives Banton and Anton and puts it near Crainer's Cavern as an apology gift for killing them on New Squid Island, He gives him armour, food, dyes and leads for the dogs, and a book saying that he should go join his cult. He also calls his island "The Grove" now.
File:Crainer's Grove Tent.png
Crainer’s Grove Tent after moving into the Grove, almost identical to that of his tent while residing in his cavern
23: Crainer reads Josh's book and goes to check out Squid Island first. Crainer is suprised and believes that Josh was telling the truth about Jelly, as Jelly has changed the place a lot in a "dictator" way. Crainer then finds The Grove (Slogo's new kingdom), and moves in (He builds a tent slightly bigger than Slogo's.). Lastly, Crainer writes a book to Slogo that explains what he thinks about Jelly, why he resigned, and that he's moved into this new kingdom.

24: Jelly checks out The Grove, and is disappointed in Crainer and Slogo for abandoning Squid Island. Jelly writes Slogo and Crainer each a book convincing them to come back. Jelly bribes them with 9 diamond blocks (collected from taxes) each. Jelly mentions that If they do not agree to come back, then he will have to return the blocks. If they do agree to come back, they can take the blocks. Jelly also removes Law 7 and Law 8, because they're supposedly "invalid" due to Crainer resigning.

25: Slogo and Crainer reject Jelly's offer, instead offering him a spot in The Grove. They also expand The Grove, creating a nature reserve.

26: Slogo and Crainer flood Squid City with water, attempting to set King Glowey III free. They mention that if he dies, its his own decision, and Jelly can't blame them due to Jelly acting as King Glowey III can make his own decisions (ex: the books he wrote pretending to be King Glowey III). They also flood the walls surrounding Squid Island that Jelly built.

27: Jelly trolls Slogo and Crainer back by covering The Grove with lava. Jelly connects Squid Island to The Grove and announces a new presidential election will start on June 29th. Crainer and Slogo will have to put their names in a lecturn that Jelly put in the Squid City Town Hall in order to run for president.
File:Thegroveinlava.jpeg

28: Slogo escapes the lava-covered grove and rescues his and Crainer's dogs. Unfortunately, Humpy did not survive. Slogo refuses to run as a candidate for the next election.

29: Jelly forces Crainer and Slogo to move to Squid Island. Jelly then declares himself as the new president, as none of the other two ran as a candidate. President Jelly burns the original law book and makes a "Law Book 2.0". He makes a new law stating the practice, promotion, gatherings, ceremonies and ritual connected to cults or religions, whether public or private, are banned and any individual found to be in violation will be anvilled to death. President Jelly won the battle of The Grove v. Squid Island. Unfortunately, Slogo and Crainer are not very pleased to be back on the island.

30: Jelly gives Slogo and Crainer a welcoming gift for coming back to Squid Island. Jelly gives a goat named "Goat" to Slogo, and a camel named "Humpy Too" to Crainer.

July

[edit]
1: Crainer does not appreciate Jelly's gift. Crainer cleans up the lava troll on The Grove, and hides his shulker boxes underneath the USSI flag.

2: Slogo announces a revolution of Squid Island, and creates The Secret Grove underneath the USSI flag. Slogo finds out that Bonk and Tonk survived the lava troll on The Grove.

3: Jelly builds a bigger enclosure for King Glowey III outside of Squid Island near the port. Jelly then leaves a message for Josh demanding him to give back the Squid City Beacon, as he stole it from the museum.

4: Crainer joins The Secret Grove and takes part in the Squid Island Revolution by stealing King Glowey III and putting him in The Secret Grove. He renames the squid to "King Dumb Dumb", and writes a book to Slogo asking him to build a gunpowder factory, possibly to make TNT.

5: Slogo creates a gunpowder factory for the revolution with the help of Tyke and Baby Tyke. Slogo returns the Squid City Beacon and puts it ontop of the stem under the USSI Flag as President Jelly requested.
File:Screenshot 2024-07-07 13.43.05.png

6: Slogo gives Crainer the TNT produced by the gunpowder factory. Slogo convinces President Jelly for him and Slogo to go to the End to get the President's Elytra, while leaving Crainer behind. While Slogo and Jelly are getting an elytra, Crainer places stacks of TNT around the whole island except for The Grove (He thinks The Grove should stay the way it is). All the TNT is activated by a lever in the middle of the island. When Slogo and Jelly come back, Crainer switches the lever, setting off the TNT, and causing the Destruction of Squid Island, ending Season One.

The trio on Sandy Island, similar to a scene in the first episode
9: Jelly, Slogo, and Crainer move out of Squid Island and find new islands out in the sea. Jelly claims Jungle Island, Slogo claims Bamboo Island, and Crainer claims Sandy Island. The trio help each other build their houses.

10: Slogo gathers resources and starts construction on a new lighthouse on the edge of his island, and builds a mine. He then gives welcoming gifts to both Jelly and Crainer.

11: Crainer demolises his shed builds a mine in his island just like Slogo did, aswell as a farm underneath the island. Crainer then makes a new temporary shack for him and his newly adopted pet parrot "Polly".

12: Jelly claims Turtle Island, a tiny island south of Sandy Island where Shelly was born. He then trolls Slogo by stealing his name tag and replacing it with coal. After gathering resources, Jelly builds a mine and and a new pyramid called "The Shelly Temple" next to the Shelly Bay in Jungle Island.

13: Jelly unclaims Turtle Island due to beef with Slogo and Crainer about land ownership. The island is now owned by the turtles. After that, the trio builds The Pontoon, a central meeting hub for the Squid Islands. Finally, the trio explores shipwrecks and finds treasures.

14: Slogo uses treasure maps to find treasure chests. He finds treasure chests including gold, iron, TNT, and other valuables. He manages to find both the first village and the first diamonds.
File:Jelly's Jungle Mansion.png

15: Jelly builds a jungle mansion for himself, as the temple he built earlier was only for Shelly. Jelly then trolls Crainer by giving him a pile of garbage, but includes a treasure map among the items.

16: Crainer builds a "pirate cove" entrance to his island and demolishes his temporary pirate shack. He builds a new shack in the same spot as the old shack and decorates his island with palm trees and paths. He then uses the treasure map from Jelly to find treasure and ends up sharing it with Slogo and Jelly. He requests Slogo to build him a pirate flag.

17: Slogo builds a bank on his island to store his valuables. Slogo then uses resources from his new wildlife sanctuary to build a pirate flag for Crainer on his island. Finally, Slogo names a panda on his island "Yogi".

18: Jelly builds a turtle sanctuary on Turtle Island and renames the island to "Turtle Sanctuary Island".

19: Crainer builds a border around his island and obtains a nametag for Polly. After naming Polly, he constructs an automated bread farm.

20: The trio appoints a squid named "Manager Karen" as the manager of the Squid Bank. They then travel to a jungle on a separate island to help Jelly gather resources for his bank account and builds. However, Crainer purposely burns the jungle and steals loot from a temple. After that, using a treasure map, they locate and collect treasure on another coast. Upon returning, they make bank accounts to deposit their valuables in the bank, where Slogo discovers that Manager Karen has suffocated while setting up Jelly's bank account.

21: Crainer builds a dock for his island. After that, Crainer builds a cage for Polly outside with a tunnel that connects to his shack.

22: Jelly goes mining and gathers diamonds and axolotls. He then tames the axolotls and names them "Goldie" and "Bluey". He also makes diamond armor and a diamond sword with the diamonds he found from the mine.
File:Karon.jpeg

23: Slogo appoints a new manager for the bank, a squid named "Karon". Slogo then claims a small island next to his as "Portal Island" and builds a nether portal for the community to use. After returning from the nether, he upgrades the lighthouse, bank (changing some of the diorite to quartz), and Portal Island. He also builds an enchantment room in his basement. Finally, Slogo gives Jelly and Crainer what they have been paid as interest from the bank.

24: Crainer builds a sugar cane farm on top of his bread farm, combining them into a greenhouse. Crainer then demolishes The Pirate Shack and builds The Pirate Watchtower in its place.

25: Jelly starts constructing a giant tree on his island. He plans to show its purpose to Slogo and Crainer in the next group video.

26: Slogo adds an ender chest to the bank to serve as a quick deposit box. Slogo then names his bank vault security guard "Buster". After that, Slogo travels to a badland to gather terracotta to make concrete. When he returns, he upgrades the lighthouse by replacing the bricks with red concrete. After that, he revives Bork Co. and builds a huge Bork Co. Warehouse on his island. The warehouse includes a crafting factory. Finally, Slogo writes a book to Crainer bribing him to raid and troll Jelly so that he feels insecure and deposits his valuables to the bank.

27: Slogo gives the book to Crainer while Jelly isn't looking. After that, the trio embarks on a series of unique adventures. They explore new trial chambers and gather a significant amount of loot, which they later deposit in the bank. In the Nether, they fight wither skeletons, obtaining skulls. Upon returning, Slogo trolls Crainer by spawning a wither skeleton on his island. They eventually lure the wither to an uninhabited island and defeat it there. Crainer then creates pirate-themed flags and shields using the nether skulls and deposits the nether star in the bank, earning him platinum membership. After that, Jelly reveals that the giant tree on his island, called "The Squid Tree," will serve as a sanctuary for breeding extinct animals. The trio uses brushes on suspicious sand to find a sniffer egg, which they place in The Squid Tree. After 10 minutes of Crainer trying to set the whole forest on fire, the egg finally hatches, and they name the newborn sniffer "Sniffy.

28: Crainer reads Slogo's book and accepts the request to troll Jelly. Crainer gathers black sheep for pirate flags and crafts TNT. Then, Crainer executes his plan and puts TNT around his mansion with trapped chests and pressure plates activating them. Suddenly, he accidentally activates one of them, causing a part of the mansion to be damaged. Crainer then bombs a bit of the island and places pirate flags all around. Finally, Crainer writes a book to Slogo notifying him that the request has been fulfilled, and that he expects a reward.
File:Bork Co. Warehouse.png

29: Slogo crafts a mace, the strongest weapon on The Squid Islands. After that, Slogo builds sugar cane, dripstone, and bamboo factories inside the Bork Co. Warehouse. Slogo then pays Jelly and Crainer their bank interest, with Crainer receiving a bonus of 5 diamonds for his troll on Jelly. Finally, Slogo tames an ocelot inside of his nature reserve and names it "Lottie".

30: Jelly steals Crainer's diamond armour as payback for the troll on his mansion. He deposits the armour to the bank. Jelly then installs a fire-clearing water system in The Squid Tree to protect against forest fires.

31: Crainer builds a new home for Polly inside of The Pirate Watchtower. Crainer demolishes Polly's old cage and replaces it with a new enchantment tower. Crainer requests Slogo to move the Pirate Island flag to the top of the new tower.

[edit]
File:Pirate Island.png
The relocated Pirate Flag on top of Crainer’s Enchantment Tower
1: Slogo moves the Pirate Island flag to the top of Crainer's Enchantment Tower, fulfilling the recent request. Slogo then builds his own flag on his island. After that, Slogo hires an intern for his bank named "Timmy". Finally, Slogo gets Bork a new girlfriend.

2: Jelly breaks into the Squid Bank through the back. Jelly then robs 52 emeralds and 29 diamonds from the vault and stores them in an ender chest near the main entrance.

3: While Crainer is depositing 16 diamonds to the bank, he discovers that Jelly has stolen his armour and attempted to deposit it. Slogo doesn't accept the deposit, so Crainer gets his armour back. Slogo and Crainer then loot a pillager outpost, save a village from a raid, and deposit 2 totems of undying along with other loot when they return. After that, Slogo helps Crainer build a pirate ship next to Pirate Island.

4: Crainer builds a new path on his island made out of mud bricks. Crainer then sets up a treasure hunt for Slogo and Jelly to tackle in the next group video. Crainer trolls Jelly by giving him mud bricks as his treasure, while Slogo gets diamonds. After that, Crainer decorates and finishes his pirate ship.

6: Slogo discovers that the Squid Bank has been robbed. He decides to put all the bank's valuables inside of an ender chest near the main entrance, not knowing that Jelly stored the stolen valuables in the same one. Slogo then adds traps around the bank vault to prevent robbers from stealing. After that, Slogo names Bork's girlfriend "Sydney".

7: Crainer officially moves into his pirate ship, bringing Polly, her cage, and all his valuables and resources with him. After hearing about the robbery, Crainer then goes to check up on the bank vault to see his valuables, but ends up falling into a lava trap set by Slogo.

8: Jelly logs onto the server after the IP leak, and finds out that all of the islands are destroyed. Jelly goes on a search for Shelly, but doesn't end up finding her. Jelly then finds a cemetery and meets up with someone who informs him that all the pets have died. After that, Jelly decides to sail away, abandoning The Squid Islands. Sometime after, Slogo and Crainer log onto the server and find out that the server IP has been leaked, and that Jelly appears to be missing. They see that all the islands are in ruins, with many buildings blown up and some covered in lava. They then find a cemetery with gravestones for many pets that have died. After that, Slogo and Crainer decide that they can no longer live here. They presumably sail away and abandon the world, ending the series and season two.

Area

[edit]

The Squid Island city area is quite smaller than that of the season two and three series' area. However, the island itself was actually a lot smaller than previously projected, and the city typically expands more northern throughout the episodes, towards and from the grassy highlands, as it has completely occupied the available southernmost area, where it was established. Currently, the island has been expanded, making it appear how it actually was when it was originally projected.

Trolls

[edit]

A unique and interesting part of this series is that there are less trolls than before on average, as in Pig Town, the trolls were usually very destructive and manipulative, and in the Cow Town seasons, there was a lot more (originally and generally harmless) trolls within a shortened period of time. In Squid Island, because there is more government and chemistry between the three, and in part thanks to the passing of the now abolished Law 1, the trolls would be significantly reduced. However, when there is a troll, it tends to lean towards the aggressive and destructive side, such as the demolition of Jelly’s Temple, or the forceful demolition of the watchtower on Crainer’s Sand Castle. Often times, in certain time periods of Squid Island, trolls would be more severe and more common in general than other time periods.

Episodes

[edit]

Episode information

[edit]

Every episode is either one of four categories:

  • Solo videos: the most common video type in terms of frequency - where only one member of Robust plays on the server - generally shortest in length, never usually exceeding 20 minutes, though vary widely.
  • Semi-group videos: also known as a duo video, they’re the second least common video type in frequency - where two members of Robust play and usually team up but not always - generally longer in length but still slightly shorter than the final category, more fixed length between 10 - 15 minutes long.
  • Group videos: similarly common to solo videos in frequency but still lower in frequency - in these episodes all members of Robust play on the server and can either truce or discord - the second longest in length typically, with some reaching upwards of half an hour long, but also vary widely alongside solo videos.
  • Livestreams: the least common video type in terms of frequency - where one on more member of Robust plays on the server while recording live - the longest in length, usually over half an hour long.

There isn’t any consistent chronological schedule on who out of Slogo, Jelly and Crainer upload their solo videos. Aside from Slogo, who uploads his solo videos at a consistent time of 18:00 UTC (sometimes 17:00 UTC depending on Daylight Savings Time), there also isn’t any consistent timing of when each solo video is uploaded: however Crainer uploads near 15:00/14:00 UTC generally, while Jelly never really has timing. Semi-group videos share the schedule of solo videos.

Group videos have consistent timing for the most part, though delays and short breaks aren’t particularly rare, especially in long time periods. They’re uploaded at the same time slot Slogo uploads his solo videos, though the day the group videos come out can occasionally fluctuate, especially in the event of delays or breaks. Initially, for several months after the premiere, group videos were uploaded on Wednesdays. For a short period commencing in May, group videos were uploaded on Thursdays, and for the series remainder, they were uploaded on Saturdays. Group videos have additionally been changed in nature. For approximately eight and a half months after the first episode, group videos were one episode with each member of Robust having their own perspectives. Squid Island by far is the longest running series in episode count and duration in the Robust Troll series, with 275 days of airing and 259 total episodes at its end, far surpassing the second longest running series in both regards New Cow Town, with 238 days of being aired and 100 total episodes. On March 14, 2024, with the uploading of the 16th group video, the series had officially passed the New Cow Town series by episodes (100), making this the troll series with the most episodes. On May 19, 2024, the three decided to add onto their old scheduling (one solo video each per week then one group video on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday), and made it so each person gets to record 2 solos per week.
