Sinjin Drowning is an American YouTube sibling duo consisting of Kalynn and Weston Koury. Originally a podcast, their content now envelops various genres including gaming, vlogging, and reaction videos. The duo are well known for their unique sense of humor, frequently making references to teen television shows or niche Internet culture. Personal lives
[edit]Kalynn and Weston (né William) were born August 14, 2000 and January 7, 2002 respectively. They grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina with their parents. They are Lebanese-American and were occasionally immersed in Lebanese Arabic as children.
In mid-2015, Weston attracted a large following on YouNow, which allowed him the opportunity to travel the United States to partake in meet-and-greets with his fans. He maintained a following on Musical.ly from 2016 until the platform was merged with TikTok in 2018. For a short time in 2016, he belonged to a collaborative vlog channel called Our Journey with several other Musical.ly influencers including Loren Gray and Baby Ariel. Due to his popularity and success online, he did not attend high school.
In 2018, the pair moved to Brooklyn, New York for Kalynn to attend Baruch College, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts cum laude with a major in communication studies and a minor in psychology in 2021, working remotely in her lattermost semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the pair moved to Los Angeles, California. They maintain that they thoroughly disliked their time in the city, and much preferred New York. After just under a year in Los Angeles, the pair moved to Austin, Texas. In 2023, the pair moved back to New York City, citing it as their favorite place to have lived. Since moving back to New York City, Kalynn and Weston live separate from each other.
Weston lives with his partner Aisha Rae.
