Simon Smulders (born November 16th, 2007, in Schiedam) is a Dutch actor, known for his role in the regional drama series De Familie (2025).[1][2][3][4]
On-screen acting
[edit]Smulders' first notable on-screen acting role was in the crime/drama series De Familie (2025) as Lars; the best friend of main character Han (played by Ise Montens). Each episode played in cinemas, including at Wennekerpand,[5][6] in Schiedam and was later released online.[7][8][9]
Life
[edit]Simon attended the high school De Theater HAVO/VWO in Rotterdam, where he also took filmmaking classes, expressing his early interest in the field. Eventually, he graduated with his short film De Oorlog & De Maan (2024).[10]
From a young age, he pursued his dream of acting, starting with theater. He performed small roles in five holiday productions with De Stokerij Schiedam, a production company with which he later played a lead role in Bro—an adaptation of the play Now That We're Men by Katie Cappiello.[1]
